Olympic Sailing Champion

The Olympic Sailing Champion Plaque is in honour of Hannah Mills MBE who was originally from Dinas Powys. The plaque has been installed in the heart of her home village to mark her achievement.

Hannah Mills was recently awarded an MBE in The Queen’s New Year’s Honours List, won gold in the 470 sailing in Rio de Janeiro in the summer of 2016 with Saskia Clark. The plaque is engraved with Miss Mills’ name and her achievement in English and Welsh was organised by Dinas Powys Community Council.

Felsted School Plaque

Felsted school enjoyed its crowning moment of the year in May as Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh visited the School. Following in the footsteps of Her Majesty The Queen Mother, who visited for the 400th anniversary, it was an extremely special occasion.

During an extraordinary day Her Majesty unveiled two plaques, these commemorated the 450th anniversary, and also the rebuilding of Follyfield House. The plaque unveiling was followed by the presentation of a number of gifts, including a boot scraper made by Felsted pupils and staff.

General Dynamics Plaque

Mossfords crafted a commemorative plaque for the visit of Prince of Wales to General dynamics UK.

The prince was given a tour of the site before unveiling the plaque which was presented on Stone Sign’s hand-made easel. The plaque itself was made from 20mm thick Welsh slate and hand finished with 24 carat gold leaf.
