New Memorials

Summers New Memorials page includes small specialist installations and large scale stone masonry projects crafted by our in house stone masons

Havering War Memorial Design

For this project, we worked alongside War Memorial Conservation to design a memorial that would honour our fallen heroes who gave their lives during Word War One. The memorial also has plaques to commemorate those from Harold Wood. You can see the making of the memorial here.

Summers Llanelli Memorial

Llanelli Memorial

The design of the new Llanelli War Memorial memorial has been chosen to balance and compliment the existing Memorial, whilst being relevant to the present. It features the names of the Llanelli men who were killed on operational duty in any of the conflicts since the Second World War.

The remembrance memorial was unveiled on the 4th November 2016; units from across Wales attended the ceremony and the Lord Lieutenant of Dyfed, Miss Sara Elinor Edwards, laid a wreath on behalf of the Queen as well as families of those whose names are inscribed on the memorial.

National Memorial Arboretum

The Royal Welsh memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire signifies remembrance and and peace for those who were lost and ensures that the memorial will endure for years to come. An important location of all members of the Regiment, especially during periods of remembrance.

Summers Royal Marines Boulder

Royal Marines Boulder

The Royal Marines Boulder commemorates the troops who have trained on there since 1940 and the Corps connection with Gibraltar.

The stone overlooks the area which was covered by Dalditch Camp in WW2. Here Royal Marines trained in preparation for the D-day landings. It stands above an old rifle range which was part of the camp and also over looks the modern day endurance course which is one of the Commando tests.
