Summers Memorials were commissioned by The Lord Tredegar Memorial Trust to carry out the careful and skilful restoration of four family memorials at St. Basil’s Churchyard, Bassaleg.
The work involved ensuring that the inscriptions and carvings were conserved and renovated, and that the vandalised and/or damaged/missing pieces were restored as per the original state and condition as well as possible. This involved re-carving a new nose for one carving and new arms for a carved marble Crucifix figure.
Our expert Summers stone masons used their years of experience to skilfully bring the memorials back to their original beauty.
