Almondsbury Cemetery

Almondsbury Cemetery is located in the beautiful village of Almondsbury in South Gloucestershire on junction 16 of the M5. The cemetery is located in Lower Almondsbury.

Westerleigh Crematorium

Settled in the beautiful South Gloucestershire countryside, Westerleigh Crematorium offers a peaceful atmosphere in which to remember a loved one. It holds two chapels: Waterside Chapel and Woodland Chapel, which accommodate 100 people and 50 people, respectively. This privately owned facility has been providing a final resting place since 1992, and offers manicured lawns and a Garden of Remembrance.

Woodlands Crematorium  

Set in 100 acres of gentle countryside near Bristol, Memorial Woodlands is a beautiful, peaceful and natural setting in which to celebrate and commemorate the life of a loved one. In keeping with this natural setting, Summers memorials provide traditional memorial stones marking the final resting place of your loved one.

Avonview Cemetery 

With scenic views over the beautiful Avon Valley and the hills beyond, Avonview Cemetery is a wonderful resting place for a loved one. This classic Bristol cemetery was founded in 1883 but appears much more modern due to the constant upkeep and well-maintained landscape. It contains a number of commemorations from the First and Second World Wars, and is well-known for its beautiful Children’s section that is full of brightly coloured windmills.

South Bristol Cemetery and Crematorium 

South Bristol Cemetery is located on the A38 at Bedminster Down, overlooking the River Avon and the Suspension Bridge. South Bristol Crematorium was designed by the City Architect’s department, and opened in 1971. A Cemetery was also laid out, with the first interments taking place in 1974. It is managed by Bristol City Council.

Greenbank Cemetery

One of the oldest burial grounds in Bristol, Greenbank Cemetery offers a beautifully tranquil final resting place. It contains a range of ornate, elaborate monuments that give the cemetery a majestic atmosphere. The cemetery is home to a moving memorial section dedicated to the casualties from the Bristol Blitz of 1941, with some memorials dedicated to entire families that lost their lives.

Canford Cemetery and Crematorium

Located to the South of Bristol, Canford Cemetery and Crematorium has been providing a tranquil resting place since 1903. It offers a range of different grave types, and the cemetery contains 73 burials from the First World War, and 155 from the Second World War.

Arnos Vale Cemetery 

Arnos Vale is the best-known resting place in Bristol, famed for its stunning 45 green acres of natural landscape nestled within the city. This Victorian Garden Cemetery is shrouded in history, with a vast collection of Grade II listed monuments and classical buildings. After falling into disrepair in the 20th Century, the cemetery received a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to restore the beauty of the site.

Ridgeway Park Cemetery 

The beautiful Ridgeway Park Cemetery sits to the east of the city and is bordered by dense woodland, creating an idyllic atmosphere. The cemetery was founded in 1888 and is home to 12 First World War and 3 Second World War commemorations.

Shirehampton Cemetery

Situated close to the River Avon, Shirehampton Cemetery has provided burial space since its opening in 1898. It is home to nine burials from the First World War and 13 from the Second World War.

Thornbury Cemetery

The tranquil and rural Thornbury Cemetery is located in a peaceful setting just a short walk from the Thornbury town centre. The cemetery has provided burial space since 1897, and was extended in 1975 with the addition of two further plots to meet demand. Traditional burials, interment and scattering services are available in the grounds.

Filton Cemetery

Founded in 1947, Filton Cemetery allows traditional, lawn, cremation, and infant grave types. It also contains a Garden of Remembrance for the scattering of cremated remains. The cemetery is now closed for burial graves, but cremation memorials are still available.

Kingswood Remembrance Park  

With its beautiful scenic views over South Gloucestershire, Kingswood Remembrance Park is a wonderful place to lay a loved one to rest. This cemetery opened in 2010 and it contains sections for traditional, lawn, infant and cremation memorials. The scattering of ashes is not permitted in the cemetery grounds.

Mangotsfield Cemetery  

Situated on the east side of Bristol, Mangotsfield Cemetery is the oldest cemetery maintained by South Gloucestershire Council. It has sections for traditional, lawn, cremation, and infant memorials, however there is now no more space for any new cremation memorials. The cemetery also contains a Columbarium, which is a solution for the interment of ashes.

Mayshill Cemetery

The rural Mayshill Cemetery is located just outside of Bristol, and offers a peaceful space to pay tribute to a departed loved one. It was first established in 1973 and has sections for traditional, lawn and infant memorials. There is also a Harden of Remembrance for the scattering of cremated remains.
